How the visit works
We take an airflow reading at the outside hood first, with the dryer running, so there is a starting number. Then we clean the full run from the dryer connection to the hood, clear the lint trap housing and the dryer port, and check the hood and the duct behind the dryer.
A second reading at the end shows how much air the vent now moves. Both numbers and anything we found, like a hood that sticks or a crushed duct we replaced, go in the written report you keep.
It is a good habit to book once a year, and booking the same month every year makes it easy to remember when it was last done.
