Aeris Dryer Vent Cleaning Team6 min read

The short answer

A dryer vent cleaning with us costs $150 for Basic, which cleans the full vent run end to end, or $250 for Premium, which adds a deep clean inside the dryer around the motor and a bore-scope camera inspection. Condo and high-rise units add $100, the condo and high-rise surcharge. Whoever you call, ask for one price for the whole vent before anyone comes out.

What a dryer vent cleaning costs with us

We charge one flat rate, and you see it before you book. A Basic cleaning is $150. It covers the full vent run end to end, whatever its length, plus the exterior cap, the lint trap and the dryer port. We measure airflow before and after, and we email you a written report with both readings.

Premium is $250. It includes everything in Basic, plus a deep clean inside the dryer itself: the bottom pan and the area around the motor, where lint slips past the trap and builds up over the years. It also adds a bore-scope camera inspection of the full vent run, so you can see the inside of the duct instead of taking our word for it.

Condo and high-rise units add $100, the condo and high-rise surcharge. Those vents usually take longer to reach and clean.

That's the whole price. There's no inspection fee, no charge by the foot and no surprise line on the invoice. We also offer two optional upgrades, fitted only if your vent needs one and you say yes: a semi-rigid aluminum transition duct behind the dryer for $50, and a louvered metal exterior cover for $150.

What any quote should cover

Prices for dryer vent cleaning vary a lot in South Florida, so compare the work, not just the number. Before you book anyone, ask whether the price includes:

  • The full vent run, end to end, not just the first few feet behind the dryer.
  • The exterior cap, cleared and checked so the flap opens freely.
  • The lint trap housing and the port on the back of the dryer.
  • An airflow reading before and after, so you know the vent is actually clear.
  • One price stated before the visit, not a quote that starts once someone is standing in your laundry room.

If the answer to any of those is no, the lower price is for less work.

Why some ads show a much lower price

Search for dryer vent cleaning in Boca Raton and you'll see ads for a fraction of what we charge, along with duct cleaning offers that include a dryer vent at no extra cost. Some of those are fair deals for a short, simple vent. Many come with limits that only show up in the fine print.

The most common limit is length. A low price may cover only the first 5 or 10 feet of duct. In a lot of Boca homes and condos, the dryer sits well inside the house and the vent runs much further than that to reach an outside wall, and lint collects along the whole run, at every bend and at the exterior cap.

The other common limit is the visit itself. Some offers start with an inspection, and the real price comes after it: per extra foot, per elbow, for a bird nest or for a bigger machine. None of that is wrong, but it means the number in the ad isn't the number you'll pay.

If a dryer vent comes bundled with another service, ask the same two questions: how much of the vent is included, and how will you show me it's clear?

What can change the price

With us, two things change the price, and you'll see both before you book: choosing Premium instead of Basic, and a vent in a condo or high-rise unit. How long the vent is and how clogged it is don't change it.

Other companies price in other ways: by the foot, by the number of floors, by how the vent exits the house, or after an inspection on the day. There's nothing wrong with any of those, as long as you know which one you're agreeing to before someone arrives.

When Premium is worth the extra

Basic is the right choice for most homes on a yearly cleaning. It clears the vent, which is where most of the lint ends up.

Premium is $250 instead of $150 for Basic, and it's worth it when the inside of the dryer has never been cleaned, when the dryer is several years old, or when you've been running loads twice to get them dry. Lint that gets past the trap collects in the bottom of the cabinet, near the motor and the heat, and a vent cleaning alone doesn't reach it. Clearing it out lowers the fire risk and helps the dryer run the way it should.

The bore-scope inspection in Premium also helps if you've found signs of animals, or if the vent runs behind a wall you can't see into. Back in town after the summer? Here's what to check before your first load.

Common questions

Is there an inspection fee?

No. The price you see when you book is the price of the cleaning, and we don't charge to look at the vent first.

Does a longer vent cost more?

No. A Basic cleaning covers the full vent run end to end, whatever its length, for one flat rate.

Why do condos cost more?

Condo and high-rise units add $100, the condo and high-rise surcharge, because those vents usually take longer to reach and clean.

How long does a cleaning take?

About 45 minutes for most homes, including the airflow readings before and after.

How will I know it worked?

We measure airflow before and after the cleaning and email you a written report with both readings. With Premium, you also get bore-scope footage of the inside of the vent.
